Nkwanta south constituency has set a precedence as the first constituency to have started mourning the demise of the late Amissah Arthur of blessed memory


The late vice president has lived a life  worthy of emulation.A devoted christian and someone who placed God first,he has widely been described as *God fearer*

Rev Osabutey was recounting memories shared with the former statesman at the forecourt of Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) where the mortal remains of the technocrat-turned-politician have been laid in state.

He described Amissah-Arthur as a true worshipper who believed in the Christian doctrines.

Nkwanta South has set aside three (3) days to also mourn and wish the former vice  president a farewell to the maker
The program which started this evening has brought most branch members outside the constituency to come and also help mourn the late vice president

The NDC party in the Nkwanta south constituency is setting a record for others to copy because they are already in the comfortable lead.

DZIFA'S VISION STATEMENTS AS INCOMING NDC CHAIRPERSON

*VISION STATEMENTS OF THE OFFICE OF THE REGIONAL CHAIRPERSON*

The Office of the regional chairperson is a very sensitive position that demands commitment and dedicated personality to handle.
A chairperson of the party like NDC must ensures the effective operations of the governing body so as to implement decisions arrived at in meeting.
*Below are key vision statement*

1.As a party in opposition,we need a visionary chairperson who will provide provide leadership that reflects the party's ideologies across region,constituencies and branches(units).
This will make the party attractive at all levels especially at the branches since election is won at the branches(units)

2.The life blood of a party is the communication and without effective communication,a party cannot stand the test of time.
Resourcing of the communication outfit with the needed tools for effective communication shall be my priority
This will also enable the communication machinery to sell the party to the public through awareness creation of the party's policies

3.The party's branches(units) shall be managed effectively
The units of the will be given special attention through party workshops,branch meetings and branch education on party's ideologies and the need to regain power in 2020.

4.Institutionalization of Welfare and Awards for hardworking and committed party members shall be implemented.This will serve as a source of motivation to enable members unearth their full potentials.Branches shall receive welfare packages to enable them have a sense of belonging to a Social Democratic party

5.Our women and the youth play a vital role in every election and is mandatory we empower them to be able to recruit more women and youth into the party and making sure they contribute their quota to the party's progress.

6.Unification of party members across all levels.Unity amongst disgruntled party members shall be my key priority.Difference  amongst party members shall be buried through dialogues

7.A scheme shall be put in place to ensure an effective functional TEIN across all campuses.Is my priority to connect all TEIN campuses to various coranstituencies so they can collaboratively work

8.The Volta NDC office shall be operational 24/7.This is the only way to make the office accessible to party members at all times.I will resource the party office for effective operational work towards 2020.

9.Entrepreneural  skills development shall also be a focal point.We shall train and groom young and promising enterpreneurs for them to establish self employed business.
I will mobilise resources to support small existing businesses of our own members for them to work and live happily

10.Effective research units shall be my priority .
Standard and well equiped research units shall be established in our region and subsequently at every constituencies.The research units shall provide us with pragmatic measures to put across in order to debunk the lies and perpetuated by the ruling NPP

Hon. DZIFA ATIVOR hails from Abutia Teti in the Ho west district of Volta.
She's a committed, dedicated and a hardworking member of NDC who worked assiduously to seeing the party back to power in 2008.

To reward her effort, the late President Atta Mills appointed her as the deputy Transport minister from 2009 to 2012 and later became the substantive Transport Minister from 2013 in the erstwhile Mahama Administration.

She's the national Volta caucus chairperson. A position she used to mobilized Ewe communities across the country to vote for the NDC which saw our dear party back to power in 2008 and the succeeding elections in 2012 and 2016 when we lost power to the NPP.

DZIFA AKU Ativor is a business woman who employed and still employing a host of our party faithfuls in her organizations.  Among some of her businesses are Global Fm 105.1 and Volta 1 TV (the first ever TV station in the region).

She believes in empowering the youth and she does this through lobbying positions, scholarships among others to our youth. She's one of the unsung heroes of our dear party NDC and the nation at large.
While at the ministry of transport,  she did her best to allocate numerous infrastructure projects to our dear Volta region. Among these projects are the Kpando Torkor ferry,  the Krachi Ferry, the Ho airport, Sokode to Ho (Accra main road) dual carriage road which was later stopped by the wicked NPP goverment including a lot of proposals she brought before the previous government for approval before our exit from government.

Her ambition is to see our gallant youth prosper and win daily bread for themselves.  She's good at lobbying and she has a lot of links and influence both locally and internationally.
She is amicable, humble, committed, affable, focused, loyal (to our dear party and her entourage) and has an appealing conscience.
